You can easily make a refreshing Iced Coffee with a Nespresso machine in the comfort of your home.
In this article, I will guide you through the steps of making the perfect Nespresso iced coffee with both the Original and Vertuo machines.
Plus, I’ll share some insider tips on which Nespresso pods work best for this chilled treat and how to sweeten your coffee just right.
How to make Iced Coffee with Nespresso Vertuo
If you have a Nespresso Vertuo machine, making iced coffee is a breeze. Here’s how to do it:
1- First, fill a tall glass with plenty of ice, so it’s nice and cold when your coffee hits it.
You can use Iced Cubes made with brewed coffee for extra strong flavor
2- Next, choose the right Nespresso Vertuo pod. I recommend using high-intensity dark-roasted coffee pods. It’s best to use 8 oz coffee pods for making Iced Coffee with Nespresso Vertuo but you can also Espresso or Lungo pods.
For a great iced coffee, I recommend the Iced Forte Coffee pod. It’s specially designed to brew strong, bold coffee that won’t get watered down when you add ice.
3- Once you have your pod selected, insert it into your Nespresso Vertuo machine and hit the button to start brewing.
Sit back and relax while your machine does the work. The Vertuo is designed to deliver the perfect cup of coffee every time, so you can trust that it will come out just right.
4- Once your coffee is brewed, pour it over the ice in your glass.
As the coffee hits the ice, it will start to chill and melt the ice slightly, creating a perfectly balanced iced coffee. Be sure to leave a little room at the top of your glass for any additional ingredients you want to add, like milk or sweeteners. If you have used Espresso pods you might like to add some cold water on top for smooth flavor.
5- Finally, customize your drink to your liking by adding any sweeteners or milk you prefer.
I recommend using simple vanilla or chocolate syrups as they blend well with iced coffee. Or, try adding a splash of cream or almond milk for a creamy finish.
6- And that’s it! Now you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your perfectly chilled cup of iced coffee.
Experiment with different Nespresso Vertuo pods and flavors to find your perfect combination. With a little bit of creativity, you can create a customized iced coffee that’s just right for you!

Making Iced Coffee with Nespresso Original
If you have a Nespresso Original machine, here’s how you can make iced coffee:
1- Start by brewing a lungo or espresso shot using your Nespresso Original machine.
I personally prefer brewing two Espresso pods one after the other in my Nespresso Pixie for a tall glass of Iced Coffee.
2- Next, fill a tall glass with plenty of ice.
3- Now, pour the freshly brewed Espresso shots over the ice in your glass.
As the hot coffee hits the ice, it will begin to chill and melt the ice slightly, creating the perfect iced coffee.
4- Finally, add some cold water, sweeteners, or milk you prefer (depending on your taste).
Simple syrups or agave nectar mix well with cold liquids, and almond milk or cream can add a creamy finish.
By following these simple steps and adding your own unique touches, you can create a delicious and refreshing iced coffee right at home.
Add some Milk to prepare Iced Latte with Nespresso
If you want to have an exceptionally creamy iced coffee experience, then preparing an iced latte will be the perfect choice.
1- Prepare espresso using your Nespresso machine. It’s best to use dark-roasted coffee pods for Iced Latte
Typically Latte is prepared with a double shot of Espresso. So use a double Espresso pod if you have a Vertuo machine or brew two Espresso shots one after the other if you have an original line machine.
2- While your coffee is brewing, froth some cold milk using a Nespresso milk frother.
Always use frothed milk for the best Iced Latte experience. If you don’t have a frother, you can also use a blender, mason jar, or whisk to create frothed milk. Remember we are preparing an Iced Latte so the milk should come directly from the fridge.
3- Once your coffee is ready, pour it over the ice in your glass. Then, add the frothed milk on top of the coffee.
This creates a layered effect and adds a creamy finish to your latte.
4- For added flavor, you can add sweeteners or flavorings to your iced latte.
Simple syrup, caramel sauce, or vanilla extract are great options. You can also sprinkle cinnamon or cocoa powder on top for an extra touch of flavor. Or you can also top the Latte with whipped cream; the possibilities are endless!
One tip that I’ve found helpful is to experiment with different types of milk. While whole milk is the classic choice for a latte, I often use almond or oat milk for a dairy-free option that still creates a deliciously creamy froth. I also like to add a touch of honey or agave syrup for a natural sweetness that complements the coffee flavor.

Ways to Sweeten Nespresso Iced Coffee
Are you feeling bitter about your Nespresso iced coffee? Well, fear not my sweet-toothed friend, because it’s time to add some sugar, spice, and something nice to your brew.
One of my favorite ways to sweeten my iced coffee is by adding a teaspoon of chocolate syrup. It adds a delicious and sweet chocolaty twist to my drink. If you’re a fan of chocolate, this is definitely worth trying!
Another way to sweeten your Nespresso iced coffee is by adding a splash of vanilla syrup. This adds a sweet and creamy flavor to your drink and is perfect for those who love a more subtle sweetness. You can also add a little bit of caramel syrup for a similar effect.
